CEDARVILLE
Written by Tom DeVries
Performed by The Missing Lynx

The road that leads to Cedarville is a little hard to find
Just head west down 41, look closely for the Cedarville sign
I've been living here above this town, for a while now, I don't know
And it sure is fine with mountains and streams, but it does get cold then it snows
The tent sags when the rains fall, I often do get wet
Little animals have found that my food is very easy to get
And at night around the campfire, I seldom do get warm
And I'm wonderin' when you'll come and be with me

I try to figure out just how I ended up here, but it's not too clear
I try to explain it to the girls in town, over a glass of beer
But they just wonder where the money comes from, and I tell them I have none
Could you bring some when you come and visit me

Bridge:
If you need a small vacation, then here's a place to be
But don't ask me, don't you ask me to come home

Instrumental

Sometimes fishin' Big Bear creek, I see such wonderful things
Moose gather there frequently, one time I spotted a lynx
An eagle soars high above my head, lovers in a homemade canoe
And the way she looked and laughed with him, for a moment I thought it was you
And I knew I had to write down this song, and send it on home to you
Just to ask you please to come and be with me

Repeat Bridge

Now I know that it's inconvenient, to travel all these miles
And livin' out in the wilderness, is not exactly your style
But we've always been the best of friends, and I think we still could be
Do you remember you promised you'd come and visit me
Won't you help me out and come and be with me.
