The Grand Rapids
Press:
"It would be tough to find better musical talent than
what's jammed into this folk and Americana tinged studio CD
by the West Michigan duo of Jay Round (guitar, bass,
hammered dulcimer) and Tom DeVries (guitar, mandolins).
Bill Vits, Steve Boynton, and Tom and Cherie Hagen join the
guys, enhancing their original tunes' considerable acoustic
charm and storytelling appeal."

Terry Reason from
London Ontario:
Thanks for the great record! The stories, melodies and
playing are fantastic. Very entertaining and natural. The
recording is impeccable. The placement of the vocals is
really pleasing. I like the variety. Not many records will
give me bluegrass, pop, folk, rock, blues, country and R&B
elements on one disc. Sometimes in one song. A very tasty
treat, indeed. Also, to my ears a wholly American sound.
You Michigan boys are pretty damn good. Beautiful
performance.

(West Michigan singer/songwriter):
Very nice work on the disc. I've always been fond of
both "On Mackinac" and "Timberline", both of which sound
great. And "Our Own Theme Song" put a big ol' smile
directly across my face. That's a great little ditty...
